ENERGY METERING AND DATA ANALYSIS

SMARTengineering provides remote energy metering system that allows to see consumption data in real-time 24/7 mode. Gathered data is later processed and transformed into utility bills. We also provide customers with analysis of consumption patterns, identify energy consumption inefficiencies and provide solutions for efficiency improvements.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Development of metering program customized for the property: number of meters, general layout, accounting principles, frequency of data reading and etc.
2. Necessary equipment is installed and calibrated
3. Energy consumption data is recorded on periodic basis and stored in our software. SMARTengineering engineers periodically check data to look for discrepancies from regular consumption pattern, inform customer instantly in case significant deviations are observed 
4. Data on used energy is imported into our billing software and charges for individual users are calculated based on actual utility rates
5. Utility bills are created and send either to customer or directly to the end user
6. A database on energy consumption is created. Consumption patterns are established, energy usage is analysed taking into account various factors, such as:

• comparison of hourly energy consumption patterns to technological processes in the building;
• verification of energy intensive equipment performance;
• comparison of consumption parameters to similar buildings;
• verification of interrelation between temperature and energy consumption.

7. Inefficiencies are indicated by identifying deviations from regular consumption pattern, working hours, engineering equipment performance, good practice of similar buildings and etc.. A plan for improvements is prepared. The nature of improvements could be very different: 

• proper regulation of engineering equipment;
• conducting repair works timely;
• elimination of maintenance works shortcomings;
• personnel training;
• adjustment of temperature settings.

Results of improvements are seen instantly at energy consumption data.

8. Efficiency improvement is a continuous process. Data is gathered and processed looking for the new solutions to reduce energy consumption.
